Can I pay for my web hosting / server using a Paypal account? / check? / Credit Card? / Money Order? or electronic payment.
Yes, you will have an option to select the payment method during the ordering process.
When will my web hosting / server be ready?
Our general turn around time is 12-24 hours or less after your order has been placed and verified. For standard server configurations, as quick as 20 minutes.
When will I be billed for my web hosting / server?
Billing is on the 25th of each month, for payment to be received by the 1st of the following month.
If I cancel my server do I get a refund?
Yes, there is a 7 day money back guarantee if there is a hardware or service related problem.
What is your cancellation policy?
30 Day notice is required, however cancellations can be made at anytime however you must cancel before the 1st of the month to avoid being billed for that month.
What is the charge for going over the allotted bandwidth?
Most of our web hosting / servers come with 300 to 1000GB of bandwidth which is roughly 1-3Mbps (24/7) on average. We allow our customers to purchase an additional 1000GB of bandwidth for $85/month.
How is bandwidth calculated?
web hosting / server bandwidth is calculated by all traffic that flows out through the network interface on the server. ie the total bandwidth. 300 Gig a month would represent the outbound usage.
Do you have a reseller program?
Yes, we do have a reseller program. Please contact sales.
Hardware & Software
What comes installed on my server?
We do a standard installation of the Operating System, Webmin, Virtualmin, usermin and all the servers and services to start hosting and receiving email immediately. If you want additional software packages you will be responsible for installing this yourself.
Can I send you hardware to add to my server?
No, we do not allow customers to add their own hardware to the dedicated servers. We would recommend you contact sales about having your own colocated server.
Do you offer 24/7 support?
Yes, our regular support hours are Mon-Sunday 10am to 9pm. After hours we have technicians on call for emergency support incidents.
How do I contact after hours support?
The first step is to complete a trouble ticket, and request a call back.
Will I be charged for after hours support?
If the problem is due to our network or service then there will be no charge. If the problem is unrelated to our network or service there will be a minimum charge for after hours support.
Do you manage my server?
Data and Wireless offers self managed Virtual servers and managed Dedicated servers. If you have a dedicated server plan that includes, managed services, we will attempt to resolve your problem per our covered services. We are responsible for the datacenter, the server hardware, any shared services, and the network the servers connect to. Data and Wireless also offers professional system administration services from R199.95 per half hour if the need arises. We are also happy to re-install the operating system for you. We will however, make a best effort attempt to answer your questions regarding the operating system and any third party applications.
Can I reboot my server remotely?
Yes, if you ordered the remote reboot feature you can power your server down online. You can however, stop, restart and start running services.
